This recipe was given to me by a friend who got it from a local restaurateur. It is also all over the internet but if you have not tried it, give it a go. You will have hot, delicious bread on the table in less than one hour! If there is any left over, it is also lovely toasted the next day. The yeast in the beer in combination with the baking powder causes the bread to raise. The bread has a dense texture with a slightly sweet taste. I have played around with different flour combinations which all tasted great. Once you make this bread recipe, you will be hooked!
